The Creighton and Comparative Law Journal (CICLJ) is now accepting submissions from authors interested in having their articles considered for publication in our Spring edition, Volume 16, Issue No. 2.
The CICLJ is an academic journal focused on international and comparative law. It is published by Creighton students with two issues each academic year. These issues include articles written by Creighton students, practicing attorneys, and law professors from across the United States and around the world.
Submissions: All submissions must include an abstract, follow the 22nd edition of The Bluebook for footnote formatting, include page numbers at the bottom of each page, and be submitted as a Microsoft Word document. Please note that the CICLJ only publishes articles on international or comparative law issues.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis through February 2026. Manuscripts should be submitted via Scholastica. The CICLJ reserves the right to determine the final format of the article but will aim to preserve the author's original work. Additional information about submission guidelines and procedures is available at https://creighton-intl-comp-law-journal.scholasticahq.com/for-authors
Length Limitations: CICLJ strongly prefers articles under 50 law review pages, including text and footnotes. Submissions exceeding this length may significantly impact their chances of acceptance; similarly, articles under 20 law review pages, including text and footnotes, may also negatively influence the selection process.
If you have any further questions about submitting to the CICLJ, please feel free to contact the journal’s Student Editors-in-Chief, Lewis Bumgardner at lewisbumgardner@creighton.edu, and Alexa Preister at alexapreister@creighton.edu.
