About Me

With over two decades of distinguished experience in medical research, higher education, and scientific communication, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and professional practice to the field of medical writing and translational science. My work bridges biomedical research, regulatory documentation, and education—focusing on improving the quality and clarity of scientific communication throughout the entire life cycle of product development.

As an Adjunct Professor and Professor of Practice (Designate), I have contributed to the academic and professional development of students and scholars across several institutions, including the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, The Rockefeller University, the Medical Research Council of the Academy of Finland, the University of Helsinki, Finland and the University of Calabar, Nigeria. My teaching and mentorship have encompassed clinical biochemistry, neuropathology, medical writing, and research methodology, emphasizing the integration of theory, empirical research, and professional application.

My professional expertise as a Global Medical Writing and Regulatory Consultant spans the authorship, direction, and management of scientific and regulatory documents across all phases of drug and device development. These include clinical study protocols and amendments, clinical study reports, investigator brochures, ICH Modules 2 and 4, briefing documents, responses to health authorities, peer-reviewed manuscripts, drug monographs, publication summaries, grant proposals, newsletters, and case studies.

My research and writing experience extend across multiple therapeutic domains, notably:

  • Central Nervous System (CNS): epilepsy, insomnia, migraine, anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, multiple sclerosis, and ADHD.

  • Oncology: gastrointestinal, hematologic, breast, prostate, melanoma, ovarian, cervical, head, neck, and throat cancers.

  • Rheumatology: rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthropathies.

  • Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders: hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.

  • Urology: erectile dysfunction and incontinence.

  • Hematology: porphyrin metabolism and hemoglobinopathies.

  • Endocrinology: hyperparathyroidism.

  • Dermatology: atopic dermatitis and vitiligo.

  • Immunology, Gene Therapy, and Infectious Diseases: HIV/AIDS, blastocystosis, cryptosporidiosis, bronchiectasis, and COVID-19.

My academic foundation includes a PhD in Neuropathology and Clinical Chemistry from the University of Helsinki, where I conducted pioneering research on plasminogen activation in multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders. My scholarly achievements were recognized through several awards, including the World Bank Research Scholarship, the Young Investigators Award (Nagasaki, Japan), and consecutive Distinguished Foreign Student Awards at the University of Helsinki.

Across my career, I have remained dedicated to strengthening the link between scientific discovery, regulatory science, and professional communication. As a scholar-practitioner, my mission is to elevate standards in medical writing education and to prepare future professionals to communicate science with precision, integrity, and global relevance.
